President
and Chief Executive Officer - John Halloran
brings 35+ years of very pertinent power generation market
experience to his role as C.E.O. of ProPower Resources.
Most recently (2001-2004) he was recruited by RJM Corp.
to head its Combustion And Environmental Division, which
specializes in emission reduction retrofit technologies
for fossil fuel-fired plants. In 1996, he was brought back
as President and C.E.O. of D B Riley Consolidated (now
Babcock Power). While in this role he led the company into
a new SCR system product line, resulting in achievement
of U.S. market-share leadership and unprecedented growth
in the size of the company.
In 1994 John was recruited from D B Riley by Environmental
Elements Corp. to jump-start the services division of this
precipitator and fabric filter systems supplier. He filled
this position until 1996 when the parent of D B Riley asked
him to return as its President.
In earlier responsibilities at two of the major steam generation
systems OEMs [D B Riley and Combustion Engineering/ABB] John
ran the large power services divisions and also served as President
of Pace Power Constructors, a merit- shop contractor.
Mr. Halloran’s first twelve years after college graduation
was spent in Fuel Systems Engineering and Research & Development
at Combustion Engineering. This experience almost exclusively
involved coal-firing systems and equipment development for
which he was awarded five patents. These early experiences
also provided John with significant exposure to field commissioning,
testing and maintenance requirements of coal-fired systems
and equipment.
Mr. Halloran earned his MBA at Western New England College
and a B.S. in Marine Engineering from S.U.N.Y. Maritime College.
He is a Registered Professional Engineer and was licensed as
Marine Engineering Officer by the U.S. Coast Guard. He is also
a past member of the board of directors of the American Boiler
Manufacturers Association and Chairman of its Solid Fuel Power
Generation Group.
