Engineering
ProPower’s engineers provide integrated services and
solutions for all phases of the project. Our expertise covers
a range of
issues including:
Fuel Switching - Fuel cost analysis and cost projections for viable
alternative fuels. Our engineers have extensive knowledge of fuel
characteristics, alternative fuels and their effects on power boilers.
Air Emissions Compliance - Plant upgrades driven by future fuel
cost control or emissions compliance concerns. These include supplying
personnel with expertise in the area of:
- Low NOx burner retrofits,
- SCR retrofits (detailed design, procurement, and specialty
services for major SCR projects)
- Gas and coal reburn projects,
- Wet and dry FGD systems; and
- Other sulfur-reduction technologies such as furnace sorbent
injection, duct sorbent injection, and fluidized-bed
combustion.
Plant Performance Improvement – ProPower offers
personnel with in-depth experience and qualifications to improve
the performance
of operating power generation units. Our personnel have experience
in boiler operation improvements, control system upgrades, combustion
dynamics and general maintenance.
Site Operation & Maintenance
ProPower provides experienced qualified engineers and technical staff
to support start-up testing, outage support, operations, maintenance
optimization and component effectiveness assessment.
ProPrower adds value in providing engineers who assist clients
in improving performance, in meeting regulatory compliance issues,
and in enhancing their bottom line. ProPower engineers have the
experience to offer a wide range of operation and management
services in design, installation and O&M for new and existing
power plants required to meet future electricity demand.
Project Management
ProPower project managers and project management teams are trained
to deliver performance, manage project risks, costs, schedules
and personnel. For all study or project assignments, ProPower
experts will be available to recommend designs with cost estimates
and budgets. In addition our Project Managers will bring their
experience in project cost-control, procurement and installation/commissioning
schedule support to the benefit of the overall success of the
project.
Our pre-qualification process ensures that ProPower’s
project managers are high achievers with demonstrated experience
on large
projects with an ability to transfer practices and efficiencies
from one project to another.
Construction Management
ProPower has both the flexibility and experience to offer innovative
solutions in almost any situation or geographical location.
We can provide personnel who are experienced in construction
management
including initial planning, process system and equipment design,
scheduling, construction, start-up and O&M. Our personnel
have experience in providing fully integrated services ranging
from site selection and concept development to program management
and responsibility for technologically complex projects.
